"La pepa de oro y el Montubio" (The Golden Seed and the Montubio) refers to Don Pedro Nicolás, the former administrator of HDA La Libertad, a historic plantation located in Vinces, Los Ríos — Ecuador's cocoa heartland. Also a member of the Montubio community, he continues to cultivate cacao with love, experience, and a deep knowledge of "Fine Aroma Cocoa" in his vibrant nineties.
